- Uses: Banh xeo is a typical cake of Southern Vietnamese folk culinary culture. When pouring the batter into a hot pan, it will create a "sizzling" sound that is very pleasant to the ear and that sound has become the name of a dish that is loved by people. Banh xeo is accompanied by many types of vegetables: cach leaves, lua leaves, lolot leaves or plum shoots, mango shoots, herbs, lettuce tightly rolled up into hot banh xeo pieces and dipped in sweet and sour fish sauce.
